The Navamukunda Temple- Perinthachan's Architecture.





Navamukunda Temple is situated at the banks of Nila- the sacred river. It is 12 km away from Tirur. The classical architecture of Perunthanchan is reflected in Navamukunda Temple. The rays of rising sun is made to fall on the idol on every Medam first and on Kanni first (April and October). This temple is famous for Bali tharpanam, where the soul of the dead is given peace and tranquility.
